How it works
- The top line: the company, the amount, the expected close date and the owner. The date turns red when it has passed. Click any of them to change it.
- Stage bar: Discovery 10%, Proposal 50%, Negotiation 80%, then Won or Lost. The percentage is your chance of winning. It changes with the stage. What do the stages mean?
- People: the main contact and the other people who help decide, each with their role. Below them are Why they'll buy and What's blocking. The AI fills these in from your calls.
- How it is going: the next step, how many days the deal has been in this stage, whether the close date changed, and when you last contacted them.
- Timeline: what is planned, and everything that happened, including emails with the main contact.
Add a deal
A new deal needs only a name and a company. It starts in Discovery. Under Add details, you can add the main contact, the amount and the expected close date. The close date has quick choices: 30, 60 or 90 days, or the end of the quarter.
When you lose a deal
Ordo asks why: lost to a competitor, no budget, no decision or wrong timing, not a fit, or the customer stopped answering. You can type your own reason or skip it. The reasons show on the Why we lost dashlet.
When you win a deal
Ordo asks how the customer will pay. Then the deal page shows its payments. Payments
The deal's company becomes a Customer at the same moment. Automatic changes
Good to know
- When someone moves a close date to a later date, Ordo records it. So the sales director can see which deals are often late.
- A deal can be in the customer's currency. Currencies
Questions
Can I change a deal's probability?
Not on the deal. The probability always comes from its stage. An admin can change each stage's probability in Settings → Sales pipelines.
What happens when I win a deal?
Ordo asks how the customer will pay, and the company becomes a Customer. The deal counts as won on the day you won it.
Do I have to give a reason when I lose a deal?
No. The reason is optional, but it helps your team see why deals are lost.
