Where: People

People are the contacts at the companies you sell to. In Ordo, one list holds all of them. A new person you haven't contacted yet is a new lead.

Type a name, a company and a work email. Ordo finds the company from the email address. The rest is under Add details.

How it works

  • Status: New, Qualified or Disqualified. A New person becomes Qualified when you open a deal with them.
  • Buying role: decision maker, influencer, blocker, champion and more (see Sales words). One click on the person's page.
  • Main contact: every company with people has one main contact. The first person you add becomes the main contact. Click the star to choose another person.
  • Source: how you met them: outbound (you contacted them), inbound (they contacted you), referral or event.
  • Phone numbers: choose the country from 245 countries. Ordo writes the number the way that country does.

Ways to see people

  • List: everyone, with filters. Tick Primary contacts only to see one person per company.
  • By company: people grouped under their company, A to Z. Click a company's name to fold it.
  • Board: people in columns by status.

Click a person anywhere to open them in a panel on the side. You can email or call them, see their deals and their timeline. Click Full page for everything.

Good to know

  • A work email links the person to their company. Emails like gmail.com or outlook.com don't.
  • The same email can't be saved twice. So nobody is in Ordo two times.
  • Managers and admins can tick people and click Bulk reassign to give them to another owner.

Questions

What is the difference between a lead and a contact?

In Ordo there is no difference. Everyone is a person at a company. A person you haven't contacted yet is a new lead.

How do I change the main contact?

Open the company and click the star next to the person you want.

Can a person have no company?

No. Ordo is for B2B sales, so every person belongs to a company. Type a new company name and Ordo adds it.
