After you win a deal, see what is paid, what is due and what is late.

The deal page now has a Payments card. It shows what is collected, what is next, and each payment.

How it works

  • One payment: the whole amount at once.
  • Deposit + balance: 50% first, 50% later.
  • Deposit · testing · delivery: 30% first, 40% after testing, 30% on delivery.
  • 3 monthly: three equal payments, one a month.
  • Recurring: monthly, quarterly or yearly, for the number of payments you choose.
  • Custom split: your own percentages and names, for example after the design is approved. The percentages must add up to 100%.

Start date and terms

Choose when the payments start, and the payment terms: on the date, or Net 30, 60 or 90. Net 30 means the customer pays 30 days after the invoice. A preview shows each payment before you save.

Keep track

  • Mark paid: click it when the money arrives. The message has Undo. The payment shows on the deal's timeline.
  • Late payments: show in red. Click Remind me to add an urgent task for today.
  • Due soon: payments that are due in the next 7 days show on Today's tasks.
  • Change a payment: you can change the date or the amount until it is paid. + Add payment adds an extra one.
  • The deal amount changes: Ordo offers to spread the difference over the payments that are not paid yet.

Good to know

  • The payments always add up to the deal's amount.
  • Payments are in the deal's own currency.
  • Does finance collect the money, and reps never follow up? An admin can turn payment plans off in Settings → Extras. Nothing is deleted.

Questions

Can I add payments later?

Yes. Click Later when Ordo asks, then click Set up payments on the deal page when you are ready.

How do I see all late payments?

Late payments show in Needs you on Today's tasks, in the bell, and on the Money coming in dashlet.

Can I change a payment after it is paid?

First mark it unpaid. Then you can change its date or amount. Ordo never throws away a recorded payment.
